Editorial policy
What gets published
- A page is published only when its underlying data meets minimum thresholds. Thin pages are consolidated, not padded.
- Every factual claim must be derivable from a cited official source. Pages are checked against source data before publication.
- Data vintages and last-verified dates appear on the page, and they are tied to actual regeneration rather than cosmetic.
What we don't do
- No invented authors or credentials. Work is credited to the SkilledWage team. If a licensed tradesperson reviews content, they are named with their real license.
- No earnings promises. We report what BLS says workers earn.
- No negative editorializing about named schools or employers. Comparisons are computed, with the formula shown.
- No pay-for-placement. Rankings and "best value" callouts cannot be bought.
Corrections
Errors get fixed and recorded. Report one via contact, and material corrections appear on the affected page and on the corrections page. Institutions that believe their data is misrepresented can reach us the same way — the underlying source data decides.
Monetization
If we're ever paid in connection with content (lead forms, affiliate links), it is disclosed clearly on that page. See disclosure. Revenue never alters data.
