Advertising disclosure

Right now: this site earns nothing. There are no ads on any page, no affiliate links and no lead forms. Google's advertising signals are switched on in our analytics so that a remarketing audience exists if we ever advertise, which is described and can be turned off on the privacy page.

When the site does monetize, it will be through clearly marked mechanisms: school-information forms that state exactly who receives your information, affiliate links labeled as such near the link, or display ads. Any page containing such elements will carry a disclosure at the point of use. This page explains the model only.

Two things will never change with monetization: the data (rankings and comparisons are computed from government sources and cannot be bought), and defaults (no pre-checked boxes, no sharing your information without your explicit consent on the form you submit). See the editorial policy.
